Mindful Forest Walks
Below are examples from the 20+ mindfulness prompts displayed throughout our trails during our “Self-Guided Mindfulness Forest Walk” event. During this event, please visit the trailhead kiosk for a map displaying the locations of all mindfulness stations. We hope they can help you learn to focus on your senses and move in the forest mindfully.
The three key values of mindful forest walks are silence, going slow, and focusing on our senses. It is not about physical exercise or collecting information. The aim is to quiet our minds and fill ourselves with a feeling of calm. This experience is unique to each person as we interpret the world differently. No one knows your mind better than you. Look for things in nature that call out to you and fill you with peace.
